Sorry I haven’t been on in a while:(. The third week of p90x2 is over and I only did 3 days this week because I had a fever all week plus my husband came home. So it’s Tuesday and it is supposed to be week 4 but I am doing that next week and then recovery week is the last week of march which puts me at the first week of phase 2 the first week of April.
I have really been focusing on trying to eat better and also listening to my body which I feel is VERY important, especially during this workout. I am still trying to find a good eating program that works for me. I have read alot about the p90x meal plans and frankly they just confuse me. So I am trying to find something similar or something I can easily transition to during this workout period.
I have taken this week off because of my husband coming home and also because I am sick but I must admit, I already miss it! He is talking about taking another week of leave and if he does that I will do my workouts either way! I know I can’t take too long of a break, I want my body to still be challenged. So I will keep up with u guys in the days to come and remember to keep pushing play!!!!
So I thought I’d change it up a bit this week. I think this will be a perfect post for those of you who think you just “don’t have time to work out.” This program is great because it gives you so much flexibility and you dot have to a certain workout on a certain day, you can switch it up, you just have to DO IT. This week was a perfect example of how life gets in the way. I had so much to do this week what with school and some personal family stuff going on. So I did a workout on Monday then Tuesday and Wednesday I took some time off so I finished but then tonight (Sunday) I didn’t do yoga,(again with the homework and projects).
So my point is I only did 4 days this week and I ate like crap and I feel like crap BUT I know this is part of the process and I know what I need to do next week in order to change how I feel. I am listening to my body and I am changing the mistakes I made this week for the better. These little tweaks here and there are all apart of the journey of weight loss and it can also teach you how to listen to what your body is tryin to tell you it needs.
So Monday marks the beginning of week 3 and also marks the begining of me taking my sleep and nutrition seriously. So stay tuned for how next week turns out and keep pushing play:)!!!
P90X2: Balance & Power. Well I did it! It was hard, really hard, but I did it!! It was alot of work with the stability ball, there was three rounds of six exercises and it was definitely difficult. I didn’t do all of the exercises all the way through but I “did my best and forgot the rest!” I also did it a little differently then I usually do and worked out at night which I hate doing but sometimes you have no choice!
It’s officially my first week down and my second week starts monday! I worked hard this week and can already feel my body changing (believe it or not) so I will let y’all know how the weigh in goes come Monday! Thanks for reading! See y’all next week!(btw the pic above is my motivation on what I want to look like;)
Ok so today was day 5 and I decided to take a rest day. I will do balance and power tomorrow and sunday will be another rest day. They really stress resting during this program, it is a really rigorous schedule so I am thankful for the rest. I’m also taking one cheat day out of every week for eating whatever I want. I usually eat pretty good and I am continuing to work on my nutrition.
For me nutrition and sleeping right are the hardest things to combine with exercising. I am going to continue to do my research on those things so i can write about how they effect my journey. Sorry I don’t have much to write about today but I will tomorrow! See y’all later!
Day 4 yoga done! I hate yoga and although I love the fact that p90x2 is only an hour long instead of and hour and a half (like the first DVD), I gotta say I was surprised at how weak I was. This DVD focuses more on the moves then abs then cool down instead of balancing like the first one. Yoga is truly an art form and although it looks easy it is one of the most challenging things and has become another mini goal of mine to get better at it! I was so weak I couldn’t do all the poses the full time, but I’m taking this first week to see what my strengths and weaknesses are so that I can continue and get better! Tomorrow is the end of the first week and I’m excited to get it done and see my results for this week! See ya tomorrow!!! :)
P90x2: day 3! Today was total body and also ab ripper. Today was the first day that they introduced weight training with the stability balls and included lunges, pull ups, squats, crunches in a yoga pose and core work! The ab ripper was a bit different than the first one in p90x, it focuses more on the “core” not just your abs, with more yoga moves than the first one as well. I gotta say it was harder today for me simply because I was tired but I did it and I’m proud I did it! It might sound weird but I can already tell that my core is DEFINITELY working and I can feel myself get stronger and stronger every day. I was sweaty, it was challenging and I made it through! Can’t wait to keep it up!
Day 2: plyocide complete! This DVD was hard! Thankfully I was a little prepared because alot of the moves used in this DVD r similar to the moves in the insanity DVDs. Alot of jumping, squats, lunges, it was awesome and even though it’s the first week I can already tell which moves I’m gonna have to work extra hard on. Tomorrow is day 3 total body & ab ripper! See y’all tomorrow just push play!!!!!
P90X2: Day 1. Ok so today was my first day and it was AWESOME!!! I was really surprised at how good i did! There was a couple of exercises that I did not do to well at, but I was proud of myself because even if it was only 2 reps, I still did every exercise. Today was core work and it required alot of work on the stability balls which was ALOT more challenging then I thought it would be. Tomorrow is plyocide and I can’t wait to “just push play” and to also “do my best and forget the rest!!!” see ya tomorrow!!!!
Ok, so I’m sure I’m not the only one who has heard of p90x. It is a very popular workout home program that many people have come to love and they have recently come up with a sequel to the first one. I have tried so many things over the last two months, but since I’ve started school at night and am constantly looking for a job, I have to say that the gym has definitely been neglected.
My mom did p90x a year ago and lost 40lbs and has managed to keep the weight off and she looks AMAZING!!! So with everything that has been going on, I decided to become involved with a program that I know works and that will not have any room for excuses!
So today I have taken my before photos which are HIDEOUS and I have also weighed and measures myself. I am currently at 161 lbs with 172 inches combined from different parts of my body(hips, waist, legs and arms). So tomorrow is my first day and I have decided to blog each day I do p90x2 so y’all can follow my progress! Hope I can make everyone proud of my transformation but most of all I wanna make myself proud:)
